Whale watching trip today…

Leaving the dock in Boothbay Maine. It was cloudy with slight rain.

Heading 20+ miles out

Seriously watching for signs of whale activity. Very windy very choppy water, you really had to hold on all the time if you were standing.

Captain spotted a whale. We chased a whale turning this way and that. Once they come up for air they will stay up for a little while before diving back down. That was what we all were waiting for. That never happened.

Today started with breakfast in Camden Maine. Dan had eggs and Haddock. I had lobster omelet. Very good!

Bridge over Penobscot River, Bucksport, ME. On route to our next stop. Stillwater’s bridge has two suspensions, this one has one that goes right down the middle of the bridge.

Taken from our balcony. We will take the 11:00 AM ferry back to St. John, New Brunswick tomorrow Aug 16th.

Tuesday, August 14

We took a 3hr drive to Peggy’s Cove today, (Tues). The lobster shack right on the ocean where we ate years ago was gone, replaced with a big restaurant which was packed. We decided to take a couple pictures and travel on.
